LACEBUG TREATMENT
Adults are 1/8 inch long. Their head is covered with a lace-like hood. Transparent lace-like wings are held flat over the back
Host Plants: Sycamore, Ash, Hickory, Mulberry, Hawthorne, Azalea, and Hackberry.
Damage: Females cut slits in the underside of leaves for their eggs. The wounded plant oozes juices that often cover the eggs, drying to form miniature stalactite like projections from the leaf. Juices are sucked from the trees & shrubs foliage, sometimes causing death of tissues and considerable damage.
